Pricing Note: County staff are aware that the price increase for stickers is proportionally higher than that for cart programs under the renewal terms. Sticker programs are increasingly unpopular with waste hauling companies, with many refusing to offer them at all. At least two municipalities have eliminated their sticker programs in Kane County over the last couple of years. The County was able to work with LRS to continue the flexible sticker program, but at an increased rate. The sticker price is competitive with other municipalities in Kane County that do still offer stickers (e.g., City of Geneva, City of St. Charles).
