The building was designed so that 75% of the occupied space has natural daylighting. Solar and wind energy provide 70% of the building's total annual energy usage. It is&#160;</span><span style="font-size&#58;20px;">equipped with geo-thermal heating system that reduced&#160;energy costs. The facility reduced&#160;water usage by over 30%. The parking and patio areas are permeable pavement that allows for the filtration of rain water and the absorption of runoff by plants.&#160;<span style="font-size&#58;20px;">The building reused existing materials from the old property along with using low-emission paints and adhesives to improve indoor air quality.&#160;​​​</span></span></p></div>
