Charging Stations

Kane County has installed four County operated electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for public use. All stations have ChargePoint Level 2 charging ports – meaning a faster charge for EVs.

Kane County continues to build on its early adoption of sustainable initiatives by unveiling its newest public EV charger located at the Kane County Division of Transportation (KDOT) at 41W011 Burlington Rd in Campton Hills.

If you own a public EV charging station it is highly recommended that you register your station with the Alternative Fuels Data Center to help EV drivers to locate your station.

Parking Regulations at EV Charging Stations:

A person may park only an electric vehicle in an electric vehicle charging station space designated for use by electric vehicles. Unauthorized use of EV-only parking by non-EVs at both public and private properties is prohibited.
