Please check the box EV Charging Stations on the building permit application

Once an application has been approved and paid for, the applicant may be required to have the approved PDF printed and available on the project site for the inspector's use

EV Charging Station Inspection Checklist is available for review.

EV Charging Station inspections are performed by a Code Professional and may include an inspector from the Fire Protection District where the property is located

Please note the application is for unincorporated; Kane County, Village of Big Rock, Kaneville and Virgil only

Although not required, we encourage you to register with the
Illinois Commerce Commissions as a certified EV Charging Installer for multi-family dwellings and commercial EV charging stations

For residences that have ComEd service: Charging stations being installed at commercial and multifamily properties, a ComEd Modification & Relocation Service Application may be required for a substantial increase in electrical load. The application can be found under Service Applications
